Neutral Support

We're busy lining up some great bike shops to help you with any minor mechanical issues during the race.

The White River area, near Mt Rainier National Park, showcases some of Western Washington's most famous single track, long grueling climbs, and stunning mountaintop scenery.

Start/finish will take place at Buck Creek Campground.

Course Description

Riders will begin the race with a long gravel grinder up FS Road 7160 for approximately 6 miles. There they will enter the lower 3rd of the Suntop Trail for some killer downhill single track leading them back through the start/finish area and on to the lower Aid station.

From the Lower Aid riders will then head out on the Skookum Flats Trail. Skookum is notoriously challenging and technical. It's a very slow descent but you wouldn't know it with all the work you'll be doing. There's a couple of walk-a-bike sections and not much room to pass. This is also a popular hiker trail so please be courteous to other trail users. From Skookum, it's up to big Suntop. This is the longest climb of the day, using a mixture of USFS gravel roads. You'll crawl your way up to the tippy top of Green Mountain. Big Suntop is home to a historic (and one of only a few still remaining) active fire lookouts. The views up here are stunning. This is a great place to refuel and take in the views. There will be a full aid/food and bag drop station here.

Back in the saddle! It's on to the Suntop Trail. Don't be fooled, you're not done climbing! Pace yourself until the trail points down. The Suntop descent is one of the fastest in the state. It's pretty wide open in places so please stay in control and check your speed. This descent has been used in the past by the Fat Tire Revolution and as a CDC Enduro series; it's rad! Tons of fast technical sections, switchbacks, and high-speed berms. As you make your way down, crossing a few fire roads, it's back to the campground/Race HQ. This is the finish for the 30 Milers for approximately 31 miles and 5500’ of elevation gain!

The 60 milers will ride the 30-mile course two times for double the fun! At the day's end you can take pride in knowing you completed an approximate total of 62 miles with 11,000 feet of climbing.

Movies and campfires

Friday night, at the start/finish area, we'll be showing movies outdoors (weather permitting). We'll also have a campfire going, so come on out and join the fun!
