Notice

COVID 19

Unfortunately, we are forced to cancel nearly all the 2020 NWEpic Series races. Because our races are larger than 50 participants, government agencies cannot issue permits until the venue is in Phase 4. Unfortunately, we don't know when or if this will happen in time for our events. As of July 1, we MAY be able to have the Stottlemeyer race, as it is in Kitsap County and mostly on private land. If we are able to go ahead with Stottlemeyer, we'll be following strict guidelines to limit contact between everyone involved. Anyone who is currently registered for a cancelled race will be automatically deferred to next year's race. Please check back later for updates and thank you for your patience.

NW Epic Mountain Bike Race in Washington

We at 4th Dimension Racing are very passionate about sustainability. It is something really important to us and we have been doing this since 2007 when we first started. In our events we try hard to reduce, reuse and recycle to cut down waste.

  • We buy food in bulk at Costco to minimize packaging, and we don't use disposable bags in our shopping trips.
  • We provide reusable cups, plates, cutlery and bowls to serve food. We use cloth towels for cleaning and use paper towels only when necessary.
  • We use bio-degradable cleaning agents and hand sanitizers made of all natural, non-chemical based ingredients .
  • We provide recycling bins on site for paper, plastic, glass as well as compost bins to collect food scraps.
  • We use clip on streamers to mark courses that are reused from race to race.
  • We do most of our communication with the race community electronically via email and online newsletters to reduce paper waste.
  • We partner with organic farm Growing Washington to provide locally harvested produce for aid stations and post-race meals.
  • We work with volunteer organizations such as the Washington Trails Association, Friends of Capitol Forest, Friends of Lord Hill and rangers to maintain and build new trails.
  • We encourage carpooling.

Being green is something we care about and we continuously learn and improve the process as we go. If you have any suggestions for optimization please do send it our way!
